For some reason I just felt like celebrating Christmas

img_13.jpg Hey, remember when Denise Richards played a physicist in that James Bond movie?

I love scientists.

I thought Christmas only comes once a year.

That is a fictional scientist and unfortunately rarely do they come like that. Why is everything fiction these days?

Is that a staple near Denise's navel?

That'll teach you to read your comments.

Abe: I believe that thing right below her navel could furnish you with the missing G in your name, except I don't think you're really Gabe, but exactly Radosh. Why? Because I'm Gabe. I see this fray you've involved me in has reached across blog posts and is now a subtext to your blog posts. Please disinvolve me in this silliness. I wish to comment with your fellow readers without being scorned by a blogger.

Hey, it's bad enough that I post comments on my own blog, but don't accuse me of sock puppetry!

I certainly hope you don't leave us, Gabe, but it's true that anyone wishing to be disinvolved from silliness is probably in the wrong place.

PS: What about Scully? Is she real?

Abe: What the hell is sock puppetry? Sorry, I'm tired of googling so I'm going to let my ignorance show on this one. Some kind of high art form, which you're now trying to be modest about? Anyways, I accuse you of this sock puppetry.

So who is Scully? I last saw the actress behind the fictional character from X-Files in Last King of Scotland. She has gone weird from what I read in one interview. Won't let her kids watch TV. Which is alright if they're instead exposed to scientists. Maybe I'll stick around if science-y lingo becomes more commonplace around here and a science-y topic makes its way into a blog post once in a while.

I think this criticism of scientolgy comes from a place of ignorance, cynicism and personal guilt. The scientologists i know are guys and gals who have had a good day, are having a good day and know that tomorrow holds another bright day of self improvement. For anyone who disagrees with self improvement, I encourage you to look inside yourself and decide whether you want to continue along a line of self destructive behaviour or whether you would rather make yourself a more full and self activated individual. Complete Life Tech can help you, dont criticize it simply because you are intimidated by those who are willing to manifest a complete Life.

Wow, to be accused of being Dan Radosh! That is only the 3rd time this has happened and the very first time it has occurred online.

Gabe:

I don't even understand ur comment about involving u in our silliness. My staple comment relates to the photos of Marilyn Monroe and Lindsay Lohan --I see no comment from you there. Unless of course u post under more than one handle which can lead to sock puppetry...

Nathan Glane is a Scientologist? Wow. Messes up my theory that only closeted gays believe in Xenu.

I don't understand any of the above comments after the third one.

No, I'm not requesting further explanation. Just informing people (including the apparent S**ent*ogy spam-bot that appears to have responded twice to the word "s**en**st") who might not be aware that they're incomprehensible.

Walt: Forgive the explanation, but I'm pretty sure you're missing one or more levels of irony in the Scientology posts.

I'm with Walt, this thread is confusing. The spambot idea certainly explains a lot, tho.

Abe: It's funny how the only two people I have ever heard use this term 'socket puppetry' are you and radosh. I hope I don't sound menacing but I'm hoping to bring some kind of sense to this thread. It all stems from radosh's insistence on slumming with us and refusing to remain on his stage.

Gabe:

It seems just possible that u are nuts.

Abe:

Clearly I am nuts but I'm just going with it.

Wait, now I'm confused. Is Gabe just some sock puppet of Abe's? I mean, come on: no actual commenter on this blog would really be both so clueless as to have missed "sock puppet" and too lazy to invest the 8 seconds of googling to clue himself in... right?

In which case, OK, nice game, Abe, but not nearly as witty as that first staple comment.

Vance:

That really hurt.

C'mon, you know I'm on your side, Abe.... or should I say, Senator Kerry.

I am Spartacus.
