To usher in 2007, the Associated Press conducted a single poll on Americans' attitudes about the year to come, and then assigned two different reporters to write it up. The result: something for everyone!
Well, since the Associated Press probably won't comment, and since my brother is a Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter at the AP, I feel I must say one thing:
In fairness (which would, of course, defeat the point of having a blog), one article focuses on people's predictions for themselves and the other on their predictions for the country. You have to read pretty carefully to figure that out, though.
