He is also said to enjoy ice cream, though he suspiciously refuses to eat cones full of broken glass and sulfuric acid
According to Newsweek's Michael Isikoff, likely Attorney General Eric Holder "was viewed as a centrist on most law enforcement issues, though he has sharply criticized the secrecy and the expansive views of executive power advanced by the Bush Justice Department."
Though? Though?! Sharp criticism of Bush's radical views is centrist. Bush has the lowest approval rating in presidential history. Can the media stop pretending that by definition he and his cronies represent sensible mainstream thought?

Yeah, if the media really wants to prove its objectivity, they should be doing more stories about how Bush and his crew will have plenty of job opportunities as door mats and ashtrays.

The media appearig to take sides or a position versus being impartial purveyors of information?
I'm shocked, shocked I tell you to find there's been gambling going on here.
Clearly Isikoff is a racist.

Hey, Newsweek, stay out of the bogus "contrary" clause business! That's Nedra Pickler's signature move.
THOUGH, if you're gonna go criticizing Newsweek...

I think Isikoff recognizes that Bush represents conservative thought. The problem is that he views any opposition to Bush's policies as automatically being liberal. A centrist, in this view, is someone who does not disagree strongly with anyone on anything. Actually explaining what liberals and conservatives think about various issues is too much work, so the commentariat seem to have settled on the shorthand that anything prominent Republicans support is conservative and anything prominent Democrats support is liberal.

Wouldn't the acid eat right through the cone, though?
