Not exactly selling yourself there, John
"McCain seemed dismissive of Powell's endorsement, saying he had support from four other former secretaries of state, all veterans of Republican administrations: Henry Kissinger, James A. Baker III, Lawrence Eagleburger and Alexander Haig."
What, couldn't get McNamara?
Comments
Kissinger only endorsed McCain because they're both white.

McCain: Ehh, who needs the endorsement of that flesh-&-blood Colin Powell? I have my very own Colin Powell endorsement -- in my mind.

off-topic, but shouldn't this revelation about Republican lobbyists putting the kibosh on regulation for Frannie and Freddie be the final nail in the coffin for McCain?

Of course Kissinger endorsed McCain. They both know how to win a war.

Nell: Really? I thought Kissinger was Jewish.
Ramsay Clark only endorsed Obama because his middle name is Hussein.

jamie - that would probably be more of a problem for Republicans except that "In the end, there was not enough Republican support for Hagel's bill to warrant bringing it up for a vote because Democrats also opposed it...". It would be hard for Obama's campaign to point out how this necessary bill was killed by Republicans targeted by lobbyists when the Dems vote against it was equally as important in its defeat.

Al Haig only endorsed because he wants to see the old file footage of his "I'm in control here" speech on CNN during the inevitable McCain medical emergency.

TG: Who do you think invented Judeo-Christian values? It was Kissinger and McCain working together for the first time a thousand years ago.
