I may have a little marketing problem

Someone has created an Amazon wish list for Sarah Palin. Down at the bottom of the first page, under "Mom, Dad... I'm Pregnant" and the collector's edition of Red Dawn is my book, Rapture Ready! Fake Sarah's comment: "I want to be just as rapture ready as the author!"

That shouldn't be too hard.

On a somewhat serious note, I actually do have a bit of a marketing problem thanks to that title. When I chose it, nearly four years ago, the phrase Rapture Ready! had not really entered mainstream lingo. I thought it had a fun and exotic connotation. Now it's become, among non-Christians, essentially a pejorative synonym for conservative fundamentalist.

Oh well, maybe this list will go viral and I'll get a few click-throughs.

It's not on the list now.

Marketing problem resolved? Or more severe than previously realized?

I can't win...

It's worse than that - since the book itself is "Rapture Ready" and has now unaccountably disappeared, there's only one logical conclusion...

It actually shows up under "Purchased." Seriously - check it out. It's the only one purchased so far. Well done.

Now the whole thing is down. At least I got a sale out of it!

Why did the government bail out Answers In Genesis?

Actually, this isn't a marketing problem, but a marketing solution -- DAN RADOSH'S RAPTURE-READY HANDBOOK: HOW CHRISTIANS, JEWS, MUSLIMS, AND NONBELIEVERS ALIKE CAN PREPARE FOR THE BIG SUCK (OR JUST BE PREPARED TO GRAB ALL THE GOOD STUFF THAT GETS LEFT BEHIND)

You can PayPal me my share of the royalty checks.

I wish I were possessed of magical thinking sufficient to believe in a Great Oz who would pull me into The Enchanted Dimension when the shit hits the fan.

Funny, cause I just got one of those Kindle thingies and the 2nd book I got was "Rapture Ready", but not through any Palin site (that would be wrong-ick). 1st one (you should check it out) was "Don't think of an Elephant" by George Lakoff-very useful in arguing against the Palins of the world.

Anyhoo, are we hopeful or doomed?
