I'm recycling a blog post here, but I was at the eye doctor's Saturday morning, and the office manager said, "Did you hear? Paul Newman died." To which the 20-something assistant said: "Paul Newman ... was he in the Beatles?"
Listing his most-famous film titles did not help. But she was aware of his salad dressing.
This made me very sad.
