Also, it doesn't count if you only support stem cell research in the ass

521sv.png The religious right searches for a true conservative.

Mr. Norquist, a member of the Council for National Policy, said he remained open to any of the three candidates who spoke to the group or, for that matter, to Mr. Romney. He argued that with the right promises, any of the four could redeem themselves in the eyes of the conservative movement despite their past records, just as some high school students take abstinence pledges even after having had sex.

“It’s called secondary virginity,” he said. “It is a big movement in high school and also available for politicians.”

I don't know how you can claim "secondary" virginity after you've screwed millions of people.

Grover Norquist may be the most petty man on the planet but he's not really a spokeman for Christian conservatiz, is he? Is it really a worthwhile pursuit for a grown man to spend all his time just trying to get out of paying taxes? All about the quote I guess.

Personally I'm a Brownback Booster. You could run George McGovern having sex with Michael Dukakis against that bitch and win. Sadly, I do think those people will allow themselves to be hoodwinked by one of these born-again virgins.

Norquist may be philosophically little more than a fellow traveler, but he was instrumental in transforming conservative Christians into a political movement. He seems like the ideal person to quote.
