I turned on Sesame Street several years ago
(perhaps ten) and saw a hilarious use
of the Cookie Monster. He was wearing a smoking
jacket while sitting in a leather club chair in
front of a fireplace. He narrated,
"Me Alistair Cookie. Today on Monsterpiece Theatre..."

I'm sorry to hear that he's been demoted to
making salads. I mean -- even heroin addicts should get methadone. At least give him a gluten-free,honey-sweetened hippie biscuit or something!
