Daniel RadoshI got into The Donnas a few years ago after illegally downloading a bunch of their MP3s. As with other bands I discovered this way, I'd been thinking about paying actual money for their new CD. Yes, file sharing can be good for the industry. But of course I'd have wanted to play the album on my iPodand man would I have been pissed as hell if I'd found out too late that's not allowed.
So now I plan to do two things: Write my representative about DMCRA, H.R. 107. And download the new Donnas album from one of the numerous industrious folks who managed to crack the "copy protection." I mean, did they really think that wouldn't backfire?
